In this loose remake of The Last Detail, Navy boys William McNamara and Tom Berenger are assigned to escort Barbie-doll prisoner Erika Eleniak across the country to her new penitentiary where she will serve time for having gone AWOL from the army. Naturally, she’s even more trouble than she looks, managing to cause lots of delays in the journey while stealing the young hero’s heart. Featuring not one tiny bit of wit about it, this comedy has no laughs and no likeable or real characters. The whole thing is just an eighties-style excuse to get two young pretty people naked while Berenger leers at both of them. Dennis Hopper directs, ineptly, and makes a cameo appearance.
