That motley crew of action superstars have been assembled yet again into one convenient package, and this second sequel to the surprise 2010 hit is the best entry in the series yet. Following a daring rescue of his buddy , learns that an evil arms dealer ( ) he dispatched years ago is still alive and coming back for more trouble. Fearing for the safety of a gang of cohorts who are not getting any younger or faster (he should talk), Stallone fires all his buddies and hires a bunch of youngsters in their place, but the little pups are kidnapped by Gibson on their first mission and our hero has to call in his old friends to help rescue them and kill the bad guy. Better effects, more action and a great cast contribute to the pleasure, with Gibson having the most fun as the evil tycoon who can’t take anything too seriously, including his own nefarious actions. This one also features the addition of a lady (MMA fighter ) to the pack of doughboys, a long overdue addition in principle that is ruined by the choice of a performer who has incredible skills as a fighter but none as a performer.
