Travis Mathews continues his series of films observing gay men in their bedrooms in various cities, this one focusing on residents of the German capital. This bunch are a similar variety to the group he viewed in San Francisco, young and handsome men who loll about their bedroom naked for hours, telling us how they don’t mind being single (except for the one couple who seem to be having a great time together) and throw out a few lines on their philosophy of life. It feels far too loosely cobbled together to really make an impression as an essay, but the last third primarily focuses on a sexy (and graphic) hookup between two of the boys and, should that be a pleasing prospect to you, you should go ahead and give it a shot.
