A young man sits at a bar and tells a new friend about his oddball family, his parents being two men (one of whom occupies the mother role in drag) who gave birth to him and his brother through “ectopic anal pregnancy” and raised them to be unapologetically gay. Home life involved a lot of sex toys for punishment and penis-shaped food, and while the flavor of satire here is intentionally tasteless, possibly to be reminiscent of early John Waters, it is also without wit and its ludicrous vulgarity is a bore. Waters always sent his oddball characters out into the self-righteous world of self-identified normal people and revealed the preposterous hypocrisies of post-war American life. These guys stay home and only seem to exist amongst themselves, upending norms but never subverting them, stretching a one-joke premise well past the five minute skit it ought to be.
