The most popular slapstick cop on the force (Leslie Nielsen) is back once again for this ridiculous sequel to the equally ridiculous original. This time he’s been assigned to protect the President from an assassination attempt. The Zucker boys have come up with another enjoyable comedy, full of the same gags and spoof jokes that made the first one so fun, though by now the novelty has worn off and the material is starting to seem a little familiar. Priscilla Presley, reprising her role from the original, adds a lot to the proceedings with her deliciously sexy performance as Nielsen’s love interest.
