More comedy madness from the team that brought you the first horror movie spoof, and this one shows once again how unfortunate it is that the Wayans brothers can’t adapt the genius of their skits on TV’s In Living Colour to the big screen to any satisfaction. The surviving cast members return for this sequel, where they sign up for a Haunting-style experiment study in a spooky old mansion full of horny ghosts and disgusting butlers. Anna Faris is once again the queen of comedic timing, but too much of the humour is witlessly aimed at idiots. The few jokes that are good, like the young woman coming across missing Florida ballot boxes in a basement closet, make one wish the humour was on that level a little more often. It’s the worst of three Scary Movies, though James Woods and Natasha Lyonne‘s spoof of The Exorcist is pretty funny.
