Stylishly filmed sexpot thriller about an ex-con (Gina Gershon) who falls in love with a gangster’s moll (Jennifer Tilly) and teams up with her to take the mob for a crapload of money. Prior to their world-famous The Matrix, the (then) brothers Wachowski debuted with this delicious thriller, one full of extreme tension and rich characterizations. Joe Pantoliano plays the cuckolded boyfriend who starts to suspect that something is going on between these two ladies but doesn’t wake up until it’s too late for him. Also check out the audio commentary, it’s almost more enjoyable than the film itself.
