Alanna Ubach graduates film school and longs desperately to make a movie based on her observations of her errant cousin. Thankfully she has an uncle in the business, but this does nothing to help her as she navigates herself from one disastrous pitch meeting to another, the scenes of which are intercut with glimpses of the film she has in her mind. Unfortunately, neither the story nor the story-within-a-story are the slightest bit interesting, both of them executed poorly with horrible direction, awkward editing and some pretty unimpressive performances by usually reliable actors (Ubach herself is capable of much more). The cast includes cameos by notables like Ben Stiller, Margaret Cho, Mike Myers, Janeane Garofalo, Fred Willard, Virginia Madsen and Robert Englund.
