Illegal aliens are living in the United States, but not the kind you’d assume. Will Smith is recruited by top-secret agency official Tommy Lee Jones to help rid the country of extra-terrestrials who are in the US without permission, and thanks to an arsenal of high-tech gadgetry at their disposal they are able to pull the job off. The concept is charming, but a short running time and flat direction by Barry Sonnenfeld doesn’t really put this one that far above other science-fiction adventures of its kind. Smith and Jones make a fine team though, and are helped along by a great supporting performance by the sexy Linda Fiorentino.
