This vehicle for late-night television hostess Elvira (real name Cassandra Peterson) is a classic in the vein of all the badass classics she often hosted on her show. In her onscreen adventure, Elvira abandons her job on television when her great aunt dies and leaves her a creaky old New England mansion in her will. Upon arrival in the tiny hamlet, she immediately shakes up the locals with her cleavage, tight dress and long nails. When she discovers that her new house is endowed with many magical qualities, she uses them to her advantage to win the town’s straightlaced residents over. It’s so funny and so proud of its B-movie status that you will get no end of pleasure from it.
