Demi Moore stars as a modern day, happily married pregnant woman who runs into a man who might be Christ or the Anti-Christ (Jürgen Prochnow). The mysterious stranger has returned to Earth in order to put into action the Apocalypse, complete with the seven signs listed in the Bible as road signs for the end of the world (the death of aquatic life, the sun turning to blood, etc.) Moore herself becomes terrified that she has more of a part in this process than she is willing to play, and fears even more that her baby will suffer because of it. Though it tells a pretty ludicrous story, it does manage some pretty creepy moments that will play around in your head for a while. Moore, always at her best in dealing with drama, excels in the lead.
