Or, ‘Look Ma, I’ve Got No Hands!’ Lorraine Gary pulled in a criminal salary for this laughable third sequel to the Steven Spielberg classic, one that finally put the last nail in the series’ coffin. Even Michael Caine looks embarrassed to be in this story about how Gary, Roy Scheider’s widow of parts 1 and 2, loses their youngest son to another shark attack and then takes to the Caribbean to recuperate. Little does she know that the mean ole’ shark has actually swum from Amity Island all the way south in order to hunt her down and wipe out the rest of the family that caused his ancestors so much trouble. How did it know where she was going? Did it call her travel agent and disguise its voice? Maybe a little dolphin told him? Maybe it was swimming to get away from this pitiful excuse to make money and found itself undone by human greed once again.
