Professor Jeff Goldblum discovers a family with a secret: a young, hairless teenager (Sean Patrick Flanery) with extremely white skin, advanced intelligence and strange abilities to affect the physical world around him, thanks to his mother having been struck by lightning while still pregnant with him. Typical stranger-in-a-strange-world story, full of more cheesy moments than actually moving ones and starring an inaccessible lead character that you never really get to know and you’re never encouraged to learn anything about. Good cast, but nothing exciting.
