A brother and sister are traveling down a deserted highway towards holiday dinner with the folks when they are nearly pushed off the road by a crazed truck driver. Later on, they pass an abandoned church and think they see the same driver dumping dead bodies into a well. They go back to investigate and set off a chain of events that go from petrifying to downright gory. What starts out as a marvelous, chilling horror film turns into a silly creature feature when the villain turns out to be a lot more ridiculous than originally thought. Anticlimactic ending aside, though, it’s a lot of fun and the actors do the most with their cliched roles and familiar dialogue.
