The Astronaut’s Wife

BBBB

(out of 5)

Exciting, stylish thriller by first time director Rand Ravich that apes the best elements of classic horror films like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Rosemary’s Baby.  is excellent as a young married woman who begins to suspect that her astronaut husband () is not quite the same person following a bad accident while on a mission in space.  Now pregnant, Theron is accused of going bananas thanks to her condition, but she is convinced that there is nothing wrong with her mind, that her husband has really been taken over by an alien intelligence.  Lots of chills followed by a memorable ending
