They’re at it again, and this time they insist that they really have screwed up. The boys of the surprise hit comedy put together another bachelor party, this time for Stu (Ed Helms) who is getting married in Thailand. The morning after a quiet evening on the beach roasting marshmallows, they wake up in a seedy Bangkok hovel with yet another inexplicable mess and another missing body, this time the younger brother of the bride to be. We then flash back to the makings of the evening and all the mayhem that ensued, but there’s no need to go into details: everything you saw the first time around is here again, and setting it in the exotic madness of southeast Asia does not remove the stench of familiarity. What was once fresh and funny is now packaged and predetermined, and the desperation to outdo what was so outrageous the first time around makes it seem anxious to please, where the first one was joyfully liberated.
