A married woman (Harley Jane Kozak) asks her best friend (Elizabeth McGovern) to sleep with her ex-boyfriend (Ken Wahl) in order to find out if he’s still the hot stuff she remembers. When he lives up to this particular expectation, friendship between the two women becomes strained, not to mention complicated when McGovern turns out to be pregnant. This gets complicated as McGovern isn’t sure if the baby is fathered by Wahl or her bookish boyfriend (Brad Pitt in spectacles). It’s a funny comedy with a great cast (what movie with Elizabeth McGovern isn’t worth watching?), but the characters are shallow and the outcome completely unimportant to even the most casual viewer.
