Love In Bloom

In this totally forgettable, thankfully short romantic comedy, a young girl (, one year before she retired to become Mrs. Bing Crosby) tries to make it in the big city after leaving her circus family, especially her alcoholic father.  She meets a young man who is as hard on his luck in Manhattan as she is, and the two of them get a job working in a music store and eventually fall in love. Meanwhile, her brother () shows up and tells her that he needs her to help get their father out of the klink. The few moments that , as the heroine’s sister-in-law, is given to brighten up the screen are the only worthwhile ones, otherwise it’s just a mess of a movie that follows a cookie-cutter formula without any kind of originality or flair.
