Trash (1970)

Bil’s rating (out of 5):  BBB

USA, 1970.  Filmfactory.  Screenplay by Paul Morrissey. Cinematography by Paul Morrissey.  Produced by Andy Warhol.  Film Editing by Paul Morrissey.

More recklessness from the Andy Warhol studio. Paul Morrissey once again directs  in this hilarious tale of a junkie whose lack of control over his habit gets him into some pretty sticky situations (most of them involving him taking off his clothes). More entertaining than Flesh, this one doesn’t ramble on about nothingness as the previous film did, and features more colourful characters whose tackiness is an entertainment in itself.  as a welfare investigator with a fetish for ‘s shoes is the film’s funniest scene, though like all Morrissey films this one should only be watched by those who know they will enjoy it.
