The best of the Mad Max movies is this endlessly exciting action-adventure movie. Mel Gibson returns as the angry cop who avenged the death of his family in the first movie, and now is driving through the post-apocalyptic Australian wilderness in a car that is running out of the world’s most precious commodity, gasoline. He comes upon a group of settlers whose gasoline-rich community is being terrorized by a gang of very scary bikers. Max agrees to help them transport their supply to safety in exchange for a few cans of the stuff for himself, but saying it is one thing and doing it another. The road sequence, a non-stop thrillride that is one of the longest chases in film history and definitely one of the best, will have you jumping out of your seat.
