Silly, forgettable remake of the 1952 classic by Japanese master Kon Ichikawa. Machiko Kyô plays a beautiful petty thief who rubs up against men on commuter trains and steals their wallets. Her number is up when a wise cop and a superior pickpocket board her train from Osaka and throw her routine for a loop. The detective falls in love with her while the rival takes her life savings. Gorgeously colourful with a kinky sense of humour.
