The adventures of Heidi continue in this enjoyable family film. Heidi (Juliette Caton) is growing up and in need of education, so she is sent to Italy to attend a posh boarding school. When the Italian army takes over the school for militaristic purposes in the throes of World War II, the less fortunate girls who can’t be sent on to other boarding schools are sent to live in a harsh orphanage run by a slave-driving couple. Forced to do hard labour and endure bad treatment, the girls decide to make an escape with Heidi in the lead, walking their way from Italy back to our heroine’s home in Switzerland. Featuring a supporting role by Charlie Sheen as the love interest, this film is earnest in its Family Channel quality and sure to thrill the youngsters.
