While NASA may have cancelled all missions to the moon following Apollo 17 in 1972, this film tells us that a secret crew was sent up there on a later mission, filmed but never publicly revealed because of what ended up occurring upon landing. This Blair Witch Project in outer space begins with this fun premise, sending three astronauts into the outer stratosphere, stranding two of them on the big white satellite and then subjecting them to terrors and threats as they disintegrate slowly thanks to an unseen villain.

The whole thing is filmed as “recovered footage” so there are no images that are not from the point of view of a spaceship security camera, carefully roughed up to look like early seventies stock that has been thankfully rescued by film technicians. Cheeky in concept, the actual result is a monumental bore, with dull characters, little action and bad dialogue preventing it from being entertaining let alone scary.
