Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon in Madame Curie. Both were nominated for Oscars for their performances.

This film biography of scientist Marie Curie, who discovered radium, is one of the best screen biopics to have been made in the golden age of Hollywood.  Greer Garson is marvelously generous and compelling in the lead, her equally astute Mrs. Miniver co-star Walter Pidgeon keeping up magnificently as her beloved husband. Gorgeously shot and meticulously designed, this is a quality drama you’ll really enjoy.
