Adorable musical featuring Sonja Henie as a small town schoolteacher who is selected to play the heroine in a Gone With The Wind-like epic that Hollywood producers have spent years trying to make. After an endless line of actresses have been tested for the role, Henie is chosen and finds herself overwhelmed by the studio system, trying to go back to Minnesota and skate her life away until publicist Tyrone Power follows her there and convinces her to come back. The excuses to make Henie show off her Olympic-medalist skating talents are incredibly silly but fit in perfectly with the flavour of this lightweight but highly enjoyable film.
