College melodrama where students are taught to break the rules by an unorthodox guru. This time the mastermind in question is a free-spirited homeless man (Joe Pesci) who gets the youngsters at the campus near where he lives to see education and, eventually the whole world, in a new light. Brendan Fraser and Moira Kelly are among the fresh faces in the cast of this entirely predictable soaper that should probably be avoided by all except the impressionable teen crowd who still find this kind of material surprising. The film is directed by Alek Keshishian, who shot to fame directing Madonna’s rockumentary Truth Or Dare (here the Queen of Pop contributes an original song).
