Janeane Garofalo sparkles in this so-so comedy about a congressman’s aide who travels to Ireland to find her boss’s long-lost relatives but ends up finding a few distractions of her own. She comes to a small town in the middle of Matchmaking Week, so while she searches endlessly to accomplish her mission, she must fend off countless suitors who are enthralled by this recent addition to their small populace. Monotone direction doesn’t get in the way of either Garofalo’s talents or the witty script, one that offers plenty of great opportunities for hilarious supporting roles and charming situations.
