Shy, sweet Australian comedy about a group of psychiatric ward inmates who put on a production of Cosi Fan Tutti by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  gives an earnest performance as a young director hired to helm the production for the hospital, and while rehearsing it finds himself attracted to a sensitive member of the cast (). Trouble is, his girlfriend () starts to suspect that maybe he’s spending a bit more time in rehearsals than is absolutely necessary. This film, which features tiny cameos by every famous Australian movie star from Greta Scacchi to Paul Mercurio, has the usual cliched characters that are offered in this genre (the endearingly wacky fellow inmates with hearts of gold, the tough bigwigs who try to shut the show down because it threatens their way of doing things, etc.). In the end, though, it’s a nice little piece of work well worth a look if only for the cast.
