My Old Addiction

Muppets From Space

(out of 5)

In this charming entry in the Muppet film series, Gonzo finds himself unable to continue his lonely existence without some answers: what species is he, where does he come from, and why is there no one else like him? He gets his answer when his breakfast cereal spells out a message from above, telling him that aliens from another world are coming to take him back where he belongs. This alerts a paranoid Mulderesque government agent () who insists on bringing Gonzo and his little rat friend in for questioning. Lots of humour and warmth, with the Muppets themselves performed to perfection and the human guests (including ,  and ) appearing absolutely delighted to be involved.
