From the delightful opening scene of this movie, with millions of sperm rush into Kirstie Alley‘s fallopian tubes like a bunch of guys rushing for good seats at a sports game, this film is a light-hearted delight. Alley plays a single mother who gives birth to a baby boy whose mental voice (played by Bruce Willis) is provided to us on the soundtrack. Amy Heckerling has endless amounts of fun mining the possibilities of this jokey premise while Alley herself sparks up a romance with John Travolta. Followed by two atrocious sequels.
