Michael Keaton is excellent as a tabloid reporter whose one twenty-four hour day is the subject of this fast-paced comedy/drama. He has to contend with a hot, breaking story involving a murder in downtown New York, a bitchy editor (Glenn Close) who prefers sales over integrity, a severely pregnant wife (Marisa Tomei) who goes into labour, and an interview with a swanky newspaper for a job that could change his life forever. Featuring quick, relentless editing and tight direction by Ron Howard, this one gets so intense it will leave you with an ulcer.
