Marsha Mason plays a single mother who moves into a new apartment only to find that the previous tenants (Richard Dreyfuss) refuses to move. Guess what happens after they’ve lived together for a while? I’m sure it was the romantic comedy of the season upon first release, but I’ve been taken for better rides since (and none of them were written by Neil Simon). Quinn Cummings is charming as Mason’s 12-going-on-35 daughter.
