Tango

BBB

(out of 5)

Beautifully photographed dance film about a director who is having difficulty keeping his troubled personal life out of his latest project, a film about the Argentinian tango. Carlos Saura continues his tradition of bringing Latin dance music to the world of cinema (Flamenco, Blood Wedding), and for enthusiasts of the very impressive art form the film is a real treat. The shallow storyline will be a problem for everyone else, and for that reason the film is rather dissatisfying.
