After losing his parents as a child in the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, an introverted carpenter is inspired to find his way back to his childhood village in the now-occupied half of the island and seek out the ghosts of his past. He teams up with a feisty smuggler, herself a victim of the same event, and together they go on a journey that will have him come up against people from all sides of a situation that he has only seen from one point of view his whole life. In this satisfying extremely well-directed and acted drama, both of our characters will be given the opportunity to face their tragedies head-on and learn to let their anxieties go.
