The Farm: Angola USA (The Farm: Life Inside Angola Prison)

BBBB

(out of 5)

The world inside one of America’s most complex and secure prisons is the subject of this fascinating documentary. In Louisiana, a state where life sentences are truly served out as life sentences and very little leniency is given to capital punishment cases, the men who serve terms at Angola are basically waiting to die. Interviewing both inmates and prison guards, the film also follows the cases of a few convicts who are trying to prove their innocence and be released from prison. While the things you see aren’t as gruesome as watching an episode of Oz, this excellent film is still full of unforgettable experiences that rival even the most powerful fiction.
