A small town in the middle of the desert is quarantined when a local cola company has a possible chemical leak. Kate Hudson (in her film debut) and John Heard are city slickers just travelling through when they suddenly find they’re not allowed to leave because police forces have surrounded the entire town. Nothing special here, just your usual array of plain folk revealing their deficiencies and working them out under intense circumstances, but Christina Ricci stands out as a pyromaniac with a few secrets hidden in her family history.
