Respectable entry in the Star Trek movie series isn’t the classic that First Contact was but is solid entertainment all the same. The noble crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise are called upon to help a community of people who seem to hold the secret of eternal youth on their paradisaical planet. This Utopia is about to be plundered by evil baddies led by F. Murray Abraham who want to hone this technology for themselves and so are a great danger to the planet’s citizens. The producers have spared no expense in makeup or visual effects, so even when the story fails to hold your interest you just can’t complain because it always looks so great.
