Elaine Cassidy is excellent in her lead debut as the titular character, a young Irish woman who travels alone to London to find the man who got her pregnant. In the big city she meets Bob Hoskins, a food industry manager who spends his nights obsessively recreating recipes that his late mother (Arsinée Khanjian) used to showcase on her television show. What Felicia doesn’t know is that her new friend is also a psychotic serial killer who sees her as the latest addition to his mantle of dead women. Lush and cerebral, full of fascinating subtle nuances and clever dialogue, this film doesn’t come through in the end as strongly as it promises to, but is no loser for it. Features gorgeous photography and a beautiful score by Mychael Danna.
