Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger (at the time an offscreen couple as well) remake the 1972 Sam Peckinpah action film starring Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw. Basinger helps Baldwin break out of prison and starts them on a cross-country crime spree as they try to escape the law. Baldwin’s not really cut out for the material, while Basinger does a fine job, but it never manages to feel all that memorable and the supporting cast is ineffective.
