Lawyer  moves in with his gay best friend after breaking up with yet another girlfriend, and they are mistaken for a couple by a neighbour down the hall.  This has ramifications when that neighbour turns out to be the daughter of a client whose case is make-or-break for Harrington’s law firm, defending them against a gay discrimination case which could promote him to partner.  When Harrington finds out that he’s been put on as counsel because his bosses have bought the story, he decides to go where the misconception leads him, while his rival at the office () knows that he is actually straight and does everything in her power to “out” him as heterosexual. It’s a cute premise, and the actors are all wonderful, but one great opportunity that director Dave Diamond keeps missing is to actually make it funny. Telling such a satirical story in such a sincere manner is a waste of the audience’s time; something along the lines of The Closet would have been so much more enjoyable.
