Five attractive young actors are hired to do their modernized update of Little Red Riding Hood at the isolated country mansion of a weird, creepy millionaire and his weird, creepy kid. The same night that they do their show, a man in a wolf costume starts working his way through the house murdering everyone in sight. The French haven’t come up with a particularly interesting twist on an overtired American genre in this run-of-the-mill ensemble slasher; the eventual revelation of the culprit is not in any way a surprise for anyone with an IQ of 2 or more, and the characters are too shallow to be sympathetic. Features the sad coincidence of Marie Trintignant‘s murder scene filmed not long before she was murdered in real life by her boyfriend.
