The Original Kings Of Comedy

BB.5

(out of 5)

Spike Lee’s documentary following the live performance of four very funny comedians would be so much better if it wasn’t so long.  By the time you get to , the sensational closing act, the actual film has run out of steam even though the performances have not (stand-up comedy is a very different experience when sitting in a movie theatre as opposed to seeing and feeling it live). That said, you will get a lot of laughs out of these truly hysterical guys.
