Le Choc

(out of 5)

An overly familiar story is made palatable thanks to star power in this chic French thriller.   plays a hired gun who decides to hang up his pistol and retire on his savings, but his bosses refuse to let him go. When his enemies chase him to a remote turkey farm run by a neglected housewife (), the two of them hook up and go on the lam before Delon gets a chance to settle the score with the bad guys. Nothing you can’t predict, but the direction and photography are stylish and the two leads are magnificent.
