Terrifying thriller by John Dahl (The Last Seduction) about two brothers (Paul Walker, Steve Zahn) who step in to a terror trap when they play a practical joke on a CB radio and end up being chased across the country by a mad man. Along the way they pick up Walker’s friend-hopefully-someday-girlfriend (an overacting Leelee Sobieski), who becomes yet another target for the obsessed psycho who insists on making the boys apologize for their insulting prank. The camerawork is divinely gritty, and the perfect performance by Steve Zahn elevates the film’s status to repeat-viewing level. You’ll bite your fingers down to the bone before it’s over!
