Marvelous adventure film that made a star out of swashbuckling hero Errol Flynn. After being sentenced to death for helping one of the King’s rebels, a young doctor escapes the slavery he is sold into, takes over a Spanish ship and becomes known as the famous Captain Blood, something of a Robin Hood of the seas. Olivia de Havilland is the damsel from whom he was stolen and to whom he wants to return as soon as he possibly can. Watching this one and Flynn’s other excellent high-seas adventure The Sea Hawk will provide one hell of an exciting evening.
