Adam Sandler is the most successful wedding singer in his small upstate New York town who, at his own wedding, is left hanging at the altar by his indecisive fiancee (Angela Featherstone). While trying to get over the painful experience that has basically ruined his career, he befriends a soon-to-be-married waitress (Drew Barrymore) who works at the functions he’s hired at, and the two discover an undeniable attraction between them. The eighties nostalgia is pushed to the max here, but the romance is so genuinely sweet and involving that it compensates more than enough.
