For those of us who can’t get enough of Margaret Cho when we hear sound bites of her live performances, or read small passages from her various writings, here’s a gift wrapped up with a giant bow: a live show filmed and preserved for audiences forever. Cho is every bit the superstar as she tells the story of her entire career, if not life, using the funniest impersonations of her mother (that are sometimes as touching as they are funny) and her past problems with drugs and alcohol, her obsessions over her weight, and all the rocky relationships she has survived. Her comedy is so important to her audience because of how candid and honest her confessions are, and so enjoyable because she so damned funny.
