Elisabeth Shue is adorable as a young woman whose boyfriend cancels the big night she had planned for the two of them. Finding herself free for the evening, she agrees to babysit a brother and sister whose parents are going out, which seems a pretty boring affair until her best friend calls her and tells her she’s stranded at a downtown bus station and needs a ride. While travelling down to get her, Shue gets a flat tire and everything just goes nuts from there in a cute, clean After Hours that has the right kind of humour for the pre-teen set and enjoyable performances by all.
