Three friends experience the pain of adolescence together in this subtle love triangle by masterful French filmmaker Andre Techine. Élodie Bouchez is a young woman coming to grips with maturity, while her boyfriend is trying to stay friends with his best pal who has awakened to his own sexuality and decides that he loves him. Sensitive and beautifully filmed, it lacks dramatic power but it’s intelligent viewing all the same.
