More of an acting exercise than a movie, this film is adapted from the Broadway play Blackout. plays an alcoholic who struggles with his addiction in between rounds at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Every time he attends a meeting, an individual offers their testimony about their life with drinking and their road to recovery. A number of famous faces appear in cameos, among them an outstanding  talking about how alcohol ruined her professional and family life. The screenplay is written with intelligence and compassion, and you will find yourself learning a lot from the personal experiences that are related, but as film viewing goes it lacks momentum and drama.
